Elissa Hyman has worked in the fitness industry for 30+ years and is one of New York’s premiere fitness authorities. For the past 21 years, as the owner and director of Elissa’s Personal Best Gym, she has helped clients achieve their own “Personal Best” at her private gym and training facility on New York's Upper East Side.
Elissa’s clients range from athletes in training, to brides on a mission, to new exercisers-- from corporate executives, and professional dancers, to new and expectant mothers. Though her clients run the fitness gamut, they all have one thing in common: Everyone wants to feel and look their best.
Elissa is dedicated to making each workout personalized, fun and effective. Her workouts incorporate a variety of techniques and approaches to fitness, including aerobic circuit training, boot camp, pilates mat, plyometrics, traditional strength and weight training, as well as Body Weight, Kettlebell , TRX and Stability Training.
Elissa can also be found teaching her "Arm Candy and "Lower Body Blast" classes at Equinox Upper East, NYC on Sunday Mornings.
