I take apart & rearrange the parts of the milk thistle plant into constellation-like compositions that I photograph, to elevate a plant labeled as a 'noxious weed' into something of beauty. We can better appreciate our natural world--the web of life that sustains us--when we truly see its beauty and its worth. lyndasmithschick.com

The heart of my photography practice considers elements in the natural world as metaphors for conceptual issues important to me. To me, the natural world is an "emotional companion" providing spiritual depth, renewal and inspiration--a respite from life's stress or worry.
