Introducing WHAT NOW WHAT NEXT Local Networking Communities

Here at WHAT NOW WHAT NEXT, we're always looking for new ways for our members to make valuable connections, share their expertise and generate support for their ventures. So we're launching local WNWN communities with the goal of bringing our members together in-person for mutual support, learning and advice.

We're excited to announce that our first local community has launched in The Hamptons, NY! Read on below to learn how our members are already leveraging this powerful local network to help each other gain valuable advice, connect with new clients and market themselves more effectively.

Stay tuned as we announce more local communities launching in the coming months. We're currently in the planning stages for communities in San Francisco, Madison CT and Long Beach/Los Angeles.

And please, tell us if you're interested in helping establish a local WNWN network in your community too. We'd love to get your input and participation, because we're better when we band together!

WHAT NOW WHAT NEXT: The Hamptons Member Connections, News & Upcoming Events

Our first WHAT NOW WHAT NEXT: The Hamptons get-together took place recently at Mandala Yoga Center for the Healing Arts, in Amagansett. Twenty phenomenal women connected with other entrepreneurs, artists, writers, consultants and small business owners.

We all shared stories about our ongoing journeys, reinventions and next steps, discovering that we had each shifted gears many times, pausing along the way to re-examine what was most important to us, as we continued to grow and evolve. The afternoon revealed our common paths as women, creating a bond that enabled us to feel comfortable in our shared self-inquiry. We asked for the help we needed to take our next steps and shared the expertise and support we could provide for others. The power of women supporting women was electric!

In the week following our get-together Helen, Educational Director at The Retreat, followed-up with Traci, an accomplished actor and coach, who offered a free one hour session to help Helen think thru strategies for an upcoming event. Jolie Parcher, who owns Mandala Yoga, told a client about our workshop and she connected with Helen, organizing a Girl Scout drive that generated 150 pairs of shoes, boots and sneakers, urgently needed by Helen’s shelter clients.

This week, Heidi Humes, marketing director at Mandala, introduced us to Edwina von Gal, who was looking for women with sustainable products and services to feature at her PRFCT Earth Day Event.

We put Edwina in touch with new member Luigina Sotelo, whose Hecho a Mano bags are made out of recycled plastic and handwoven by women in small villages across Mexico. Edwina loved Luigina’s bags and we’re thrilled that Luigina’s Hecho a Mano’s bags will be featured at the PRFCT Earth Day Event!

We also connected Handan Kayisoglu-Anlar with a pop-up store in Sag Harbor, that’s planning to sell Handan’s Home and Loft hand-loomed fashions.

These meaningful connections are continuing with many local women becoming members of WHAT NOW WHAT NEXT’s online community. They’ve asked us to provide an ongoing in-person support structure for their next steps too.

In response, we’ve created Launch and Grow Your Ventures, a 4-part series focusing on new ways to reinvent and redefine your business, and bring your vision to fruition. The series will be led by WHAT NOW WHAT NEXT Co-Founder, Joanne Roberts, and Leadership Consultant, Jane Modoono at the Mandala Yoga Center for the Healing Arts on 5/21, 6/18, 6/25 and 7/9.
