Joyce I. Francis is the founder and principal of Omega ElderCare Services, LLC. Her vision for the company percolated for over 20 years, while she was busy working and accumulating a wide range of degrees. She is thrilled to be able to bring her passion for eldercare, sourced during years of caring for family members, to a wider community.
Joyce designed Omega ElderCare Services, LLC, to provide diverse support services for senior adults, their family members and caregivers. Omega Eldercare Services offers non-medical, non-therapeutic, comprehensive and custom-tailored care-management and care-monitoring services.
Omega ElderCare Services, LLC, values the individual at every stage of life. They assess the current support systems of each senior adult and provide recommendations for short-term or long-term strategies to support ongoing needs and fill gaps in care. The company also evaluates basic and instrumental activities of daily living, assisting caregivers, including those living outside of New York State, in communicating with local professionals to attain required services, monitor existing services and facilitate access to community resources.
After receiving a Gerontology Certificate from Marymount Manhattan College, Joyce worked as a certified Court Evaluator and Guardian, developing her skills while assessing medically complex cases, including the ability of allegedly incapacitated persons to manage basic activities of daily living, and advising the Court on appropriate nursing facilities to meet the needs of senior adults.
Joyce is a New York State Licensed Master Social Worker, Geriatric Care Manager and a trained End-of Life Doula. She is also a registered member of the National Association of Social Workers, the American Society on Aging and The Gerontological Society of America.
